What is EMDR?

Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) is a specialized form of therapy used to help people process and heal from traumatic experiences. EMDR looks different from typical psychotherapy, as instead of mainly talking about your feelings you will be using body movement to process traumatic memories or unpleasant body sensations. The body movement is called bilateral stimulation and is commonly facilitated with eye movements.
